Cheshire needs to talk for a minute.

lets-bandage-it-up:

I’ve been sitting here thinking, rolling through cigarette after cigarette. If I just had a platform, you know? A way to reach out in a way no one had. Maybe we wouldn’t lose so many of our own to suicide. Maybe, maybe if we reached out far enough we’d catch them as they fell. And maybe, one day, together, we’ll make that change we’re all so in need of.

Every day I turn on my computer and check LBIU first. So many of us in need of saving. So many hurt… in pain.. lost. Giving up and saying today will be their last. And so, so many.. that.. it truly is. How many of us do we have to lose before we’re ready to take a stand against all of this? I’m just one queer on the internet, but give me a listen okay?

I want to start a movement. I’ve got LBIU, and all the wonderful souls that follow it. But I need more than just you guys. We need to DO something. I’m so tired of waking up every day wishing it WAS my last day. I’m tired of feeling like I have to wound myself to survive… I’m tired, I’m just tired. I know you all are, too. I’m tired of being tired. I’m sick of it. I’m tired of so many teenagers dying because we feel like it’s our only option left. We need to do something. I’m, I’m sick of not being able to do anything but give you guys my words. Our, words, as a team. I don’t know what but we need to DO something. There’s organizations out there, and they’re great but we need a MOVEMENT. Not a place to donate money hoping somewhere it makes a difference.

We need to BE that difference.

What I’m asking you to do is wherever you are, right now, send someone a message. I don’t care what it is or who it’s to, but reach out. If you’re walking down the street and someone looks down, smile. Or ask them what’s wrong. How many of you wanted so badly for someone to do that to you? That time has come and gone for us, and we’ve lost some along the way. But don’t let someone else fall. Don’t let people keep feeling like pills or heights or blades are their only options left alive. Fuck it we can’t leave it up to Celebs like Lady Gaga or the cast of Glee. They know what suffering is but who BETTER than us? Who’s lived through hell and SURVIVED? Us. That’s fucking who.

February is nearing an end soon. Each organization has assigned a day or week or month of remembrance to the people who’s lives have been lost to suicide. A color, even. But how about this? February 25-29 we honour those still fighting for their lives. You don’t wear anything special. But how about this- On a shirt, your arms, backpacks, I don’t care. Write the words I SURVIVED. As big as you can. Because you HAVE. You’re breathing and hurting and in so much pain but damnit kid you’re ALIVE. And that’s so much more than some right now. You may want to be rid of that life but there are those out there fighting for you to want to live. And one day, I Promise you kid, you WILL want that life of yours. Just hang in there, because damnit the storm cannot last forever.

Everywhere you can, write the phrase “I am a work in progress”. Speak out against bullying, and the importance of human life. Look, this post may get 0 notes and nothing may come of this but we HAVE to start somewhere. We HAVE to try- or NONE of us will ever get better or find peace.

I am one queer on the internet.

Who the fuck is with me?
